Hong Kong Toy Fair Beanie Sells for Over $1,200!

An authenticated Ty 2012 Hong Kong Gift Show Beanie Baby sold on eBay for $1,205 on November 14, 2012. The auction attracted 18 bids. According to the seller: "This bear was distributed in January 2012. It's purple with a pink ribbon. It has a green dragon across its chest with Hong Kong 2012 embroidered beneath it. The 3rd bear in the series-extraordinarily rare and gorgeous! "

The Hong Kong Gift Show Beanie is a Hong Kong gift show exclusive Beanie Baby which has been updated each year since its debut in 2010. It is only given to a select group of individuals attending the toy fair.  Peggy Gallagher had authenticated the beanie and had rated it mint with mint tags museum quality.
