An authenticated #1 Bear Beanie Baby sold on EBay on April 4, 2011 for $1,550 plus $25 shipping. The heart tag was autographed by Ty Warner and numbered 229 of 253. Peggy Gallagher had authenticated the Beanie Baby and rate it mint with mint tags – museum quality. The #1 Bear was issued on December 12, 1998 to Ty Sales Reps and is considered one of the most valuable Beanie Baby of all times! However, its value continues to decline. In 2000, this bear sold for $5,175. Two years ago, it sold for $2,985.
