There are now thousands of Beanie Babies to collect! This large quantity has forced many collectors to limit their Beanie Baby purchases to specific animal types or to focus on Exclusive Beanies. Others that were limited, such as Peanut the royal blue elephant and Spot the spotless dog, are worth thousands of dollars. Back in the early 2000's, oddity collectors were paying hundreds of dollars for Beanie Babies that had a manufacturing defect such as Beanie Baby bears that were missing their chest emblem. While browsing at tag sales, keep your eye out for Beanie Babies that have a 1st, 2nd or 3rd generation heart tag and/or a black and white tush tag or Beanie Babies that are missing their chest emblem.
